SUMMERIN UP THE "BURB" HOUSE

Hi Friends!!

We had a GORGEOUS summery weekend here in the Northeast and so after spending the weekend poolside, I'm getting a start on switching out some spring and replacing it with SUMMER...HOORAY!!!

All of the shells and sea glass and sand dollars were collected over the years by my entire family...they are our favorite treasures...:)

Seashells in an old milk bottle that my husband gave me when we were dating.  He dug it up in the bay while clamming...I LOVE it!!

Our youngest daughter is the sea glass/sand dollar  queen collector every summer!!..we think it's because she's the lowest to the ground...:)

My dear friend brought this over to me a couple of weeks ago...what a lovely gift!! 

I love the way these greens cascade from the weathered wall tin...

I will be planting these in the pots by the pool as soon as we catch the woodchuck that is eating everything in my garden...we've set the have a heart trap 3 times and so far have caught 3 squirrels!!!
I've got some other projects going on as we get ready to head to the beach house for summer...so stay tuned and come on back for a visit...

KALE CHIPS!!!...DELISH...REALLY!!!!

Hi Friends...

I've been wanting to try to make KALE CHIPS for a while...finally did and they are delish....really....try it!!

SUPER EASY....HEALTHY AND TASTY!!

ALL YOU NEED IS FRESH KALE, A SALAD SPINNER, OLIVE OIL AND SEA SALT...

TEAR OFF BITE SIZE PIECES FROM THE STEM...

ONCE THEY ARE ALL DRY...PLACE ON A COOKIE SHEET ON PARCHMENT PAPER...DRIZZLE WITH OLIVE OIL AND A BIT OF SEA SALT...BAKE AT 350 FOR 10 MINUTES.....ENJOY!!!!

UNEXPECTED LOVELINESS USING TAG SALE MIRRORED TRAYS

Hi Friends!!

Still can't drive, but getting around the house much easier...thanks to all my well wishers!!

Wanted to share how using old mirrored trays can bring some loveliness into your home in some unexpected ways....

We have a family desk in our family room...now this blahness...

plus this lovely find......

equals this unexpected loveliness...

I picked this one up months ago and it's been in my "to do" pile....a lightbulb went off yesterday to use it on the desk!!

Thinking outside the box...small glass fleur de lis votive holder to hold pens... 

It's all in the details...such pretty framework...

I was planning on painting it like the one below, but I'm really liking it in it's original state...We'll see, I tend to whiten up everything...what do you think????

If you follow me, you've seen this tray before...I keep this one on my living room coffee table and change the accessories out with the season...I painted this one and love it...

I am attracted to these trays when I see them at tag/estate sales for the right price....the possibilities are endless...
