A LOVELY POOL/GARDEN SHED

When we put our pool in about 9 years ago, my husband wanted a "shed" to store pool toys, hide the pump, plumbing etc.  I was thinking SHED!!!...OH NO!!!...that is really not in line with the look I was going for out there...but then I remembered that I kept a copy of a Country Living magazine that had the lovliest garden shed I had ever seen.  I dug it out and said "OK, if you can make this, then we can have a shed"...haha.....Well, he did it and it truly came out so lovely...See what you think...

LOVE it!!

My husband built the entire shed including the fabulous cupola!!

We wanted arched doors...he made these with planks...

This is the view right out of my kitchen window behind the pool...LOVELY!!

This is the Country Living magazine cover from 2002 that i kept as our inspiration...

STARFISH & STRING

I have NEVER purchased a sea shell and pride myself on the fact that we only COLLECT sea shells and sea glass.  We NEVER keep a starfish that we find, but send it back into the ocean in hopes that it lives...that being said, I saw starfish garland in one of my favorite shops down the shore. Instead of buying it, I picked up a package of artificial starfish for $1.99 and used some twine to create my own...I'm planning on using it in one of the girls beach house rooms...super simple!

I hung it up on this mirror on our "burb" screen porch to see how it would hang...

HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!
