ANNIE SLOAN BEDSIDE TABLE REDO!!

Hi Friends!!
I've been working on these bedside tables for my older girls beach house bedrooms...I paid $15 for the both of them at a tag sale...solid oak, french legs and dovetail drawers!!!...I FINALLY bought and used AS chalk paint...must say...I'm sold on it now.  Take a look at the before and after and see what you think.  I'm thrilled with the outcome...they are perfect for the beach!!

Before & After!!

before....

after.....ahhh...so much better

it's all in the details....used a sanding block to distress just a bit...

added this basket for storage...

tag sale table with good bones & AS paint in pure white equals.....

Now...on to painting the second one...
Thanks for visiting and please come back to see what else I've got going on at the beach house this summer...
xo, Mariaelena

  4. Such a great DIY, it looks fantastic! I'm working on a metal industrial style table from the 60's today. I just finished an accordion style rack to put my vintage scarves on. It used to be an ugly 1970's wood finish, now it's a darling white! I love DIY projects! :)

  5. Great transformation, Mariaelena! I haven't tried the AS paint yet, so I have to ask -- did you do any pre-sanding & did it go a long way? Those are always the big claims about this paint -- no sanding or special treatment of the wood prior to painting, and a quart of this paint lasts and last through several projects. I wanted to ask someone who doesn't have AS Paint as a sponsor.....lol!

  10. Your project popped up on my Google Alerts this morning. I handle the PR in north America for Chalk Paint (Annie Sloan's paint) and I always keep an eye out for what people are doing. Your tables turned out beautifully! Congratulations! In response to one of your readers, I wanted to say that we don't sponsor any blogs and never have. The paint's success has been purely 'word of mouth' via the blogs. Annie Sloan Unfolded is the north American company that manufactures and distributes the paint, and we are sponsoring Junk Bonanza, IDAL, and we just sponsored Haven, which is a blogger's conference. The rest we leave up to the users who love it so much. Shaunna West, of Perfectly Imperfect blog, loved the paint so much she recently became a stockist... That's a fan.
