Terra-cotta pot projects!!

Hi friends...
I needed to find a spring accessory for a table that I recently finished that I am donating for an upcoming charity auction...
while browsing through Pinterest, I came across this idea...
PERFECT!!
Here is my version...

This is for me...lol...
my new Angel vine needed a proper container...
This is the vignette for the top of the accent table...
The process was quite simple...
2 coats of some chalk paint & a bit of distressing with a sanding block...
LOVE them....
I will definitely be making more for the beach house and our screen porch in the "burbs"

I'm crazy for angel vine & these painted terra-cotta pots...
This is the complete auction donation:
you can see the post of the before and after of this table here:

Hope the lucky bidder is as happy as I am with the results!!
Thank you for stopping by!!!

Snow be damned!!...it's SPRING!!

Hi friends...

Even though there is snow on the first full day of Spring here in the "burbs", it was time to get a start on some Spring/Easter decorating.....

Hoping it gives us a "spring" in our step after the last 5 months of non stop snow...

take a peek...might be picture overload

but it's so nice to finally have a bit of spring, even if it's only on the inside for now!!

FYI:  floating candles sold at Pier 1 fit perfectly in a mason jar!!
My dear friend surprised me with a bag full of these burlap easter eggs....:)

An oldie but a goody....
my lovely coffee filter flower...
always a great addition for spring

Thanks for stopping by and please remember to follow me on Facebook & Pinterest & subscribe by email on my sidebar!

Not a pretty post, but IT WORKS!!!

CLEANING THE DREADED GROUT...
After trying lots of expensive products and a few tips I found online, nothing ever gets the grout clean on the bathroom floor...UNTIL NOW!!!...I found this wonderful advice here http://holidaysparkle.blogspot.com/2013/11/grout-cleaner.html
and I'm sooo happy right now...All you need is a bottle of Clorox toilet bowl gel cleaner and a scrub brush!!! ($2.29 total cost)
I'll let the photos speak for themselves...

Look at this crazy before and after....
This is ALL you need...
I poured it on the grout lines, let it sit about 15 minutes,
came back and gave it a quick scrub with the scrub brush
and wiped it up with water and a towel...
EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!
(and this is after I've mopped it clean...jeesh)
Can you believe this????
So go on and try it...
all you've got to lose is $2.29...
I'm sooooo happy with the results...
now on to bathroom #2...

I needed this....LOL

With the everyday snow and below 0 temps here in Hudson Valley, I felt the need to post these pics of late spring at our house in the "burbs".....
it's hard to remember that it can look like this....

Below is what it looks like now.....
WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, let's just take a sec to remember and dream of warmer temps, sunshine & fun in the sun that is to come...

So to all my Northeast friends,
try to embrace and enjoy the winter....
there's an end in sight....
