FONTANA TURNED FABULOUS

Hi friends….
Although I completed this project a while ago, I feel the need to give it a proper blog post!…These Broyhill Fontana pieces were a big thing back in the 90's.  Although I tired of there yellow/orange finish, the pieces functioned well in our home.   So, what's a thrifty gal to do???…Get out the paint and order some fresh fabrics!!   I must say that to this day, this redo is one of my absolute favorites.  It gave our home an entire new look and for so little money.  I LOVE my living/dining rooms again….and isn't that what it's all about???   Take a look at the difference.  I pulled the old photos from the web as I was new to blogging when the project was completed and don't have before pics of my own….

AFTER:  PAINTED, DISTRESSED & WAXED…
FABRIC FROM BALLARD DESIGNS

BEFORE….(apologize for the bad before shots, as I said, had to pull them from the web)
 CLOSE UPS OF THE DETAILS….
LUCKILY THE FONTANA LINE HAS LOVELY DETAILS TO WORK WITH

REALLY BAD BEFORE…BUT ALL I COULD FIND…YOU GET THE IDEA...

THE ORANGE FONTANA MIRROR TURNED LOVELY WITH WHITE PAINT, SOME ANTIQUING & WAX…
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!

ANOTHER PIC BORROWED FROM THE WEB…THE BEFORE OF THE FONTANA COFFEE TABLE

MY COFFEE TABLE AFTER!!!….

WE HAVE A COMBINED LIVING/DINING ROOM IN OUR HOME…I THINK THE REDO MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!…I'D LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK….

HAVE A HAPPY DAY,
MARIAELENA

  7. I have this exact table and I'm sick of the color. I'm wondering, did you redo the top of the table at all?

  8. I just found this post - how did you refinish the mirror?

  9. Is that the original Fontana color on top of the dining table? I need to match the old color and am having difficulty and was wondering if you had a stain make/color that would do the trick?
